  The ones where opinions can be tossed around are always popular, particularly if they can't be proven wrong. So speculation threads, political threads, religious threads all work.

  Sex threads work because... well, 'cause they're about SEX.

  And I think there's a fairly thick feeling of "family" here, so any thread that gives everyone a warm-fuzzy feeling is probably gonna fly.

  Threads that typically DON'T do well:
  1) Threads about your favorite penny
  2) Threads asking about a particular person
  3) Threads with poor/misleading titles
