Three cheers for the men in green! I would love to see Ireland battle Germany or England, then Brasil (if they make it).
Typically, the host country or one from the region wins. China nas qualified for the very first time so it will be interesting. I think my favorite Ireland game occurred in '94 in the US when Ireland beat Italy 1-0 in Giants Stadium in NY in front of a large overly italian crowd of rowdy New Yorkers. It was sweet, but painful.
I hope they bring the same spirit.
