I've got a family of witnesses that left our area 1 years ago.
the brother always emails me (along with a list of 50 people) jokes, comedic strip, and snippets.
for the last 5 times, I tried to email back a real "how you're doing"? kind of small talk.
he never answers me back, except for the next mass mailing.
what could be happening?
Perhaps with such a huge list of email addresses he doesnt realize he is emailing you at all. But if he knows your an ex...he is probably choosing to not reply. The other thing is, if he does know your address and has it marked as SPAM he might not be seeing any of your replies in his in box at all.

I have to go along with this from personal experience. A few weeks ago I was perusing my spam box and found lots of legit mail from folks IN MY ADDRESS BOOK were trapped in there. I double checked with friends and all of us with yahoo email had this going on. I am still checking the spam box three or four times a day to remove the stragglers.
