Yes, we care. Nations want to appear like they are not anti-Islam so much that they do not take action against slavery and injustices such as Islam (Sharia) law which requires chopping off people's hands and feet. Instead of showing "tolerance' it shows up more as "cowardice."

A lot of the American people did not believe or even know of what was going on in Germany. Like you said, if there is no interest why bother? If a nation is going to "invest" in war it is to make a profit. I helped refugees from Africa that there families were victims of terrible tings, we hear of these things happening on the news but when you get the story directly from someone who lived through it, I find that it becomes more "real". I would love to do something more to help.

Oh I get it, totalitarian regime's votes count just as much as liberal democracies, and China has veto power. China is doing brisk business in Sudan.
