The April 2008 issue of the Canadian medical journal Paediatrics & Child Health has printed two letters continuing the discussion of the JW blood issue, especially as it pertains to teenage Jehovah's Witnesses.

The first letter is written by two medical professors from the University of Calgary, and the second is written by Lee Elder, Director of Associated jehovah's Witnesses for Reform on Blood (AJWRB).

The letters can be downloaded from here:

MUST READ FOLKS, MUST READ THESE ARTICLES! Share with friends, family, and your own doctors.

WOW! These 2 articles are 2 more NAILS in the COFFIN for the Watchtower Society.

The first article is a response to a Watchtower Puff Piece (damage control) that was printed in Canada's Paediatric Child Health. Watchtower has been raked over the coals in Canadian media on the blood issue & teenagers. So, a Watchtower chap named "Harrison" wrote an article.

    The first article begins

"[Watchtower's] article (1) debates when paediatricians should accept a teenager's refusal of potentiall life-saving or life-prolonging treamtnet. The article addresses only one of the three necessary elements of consent; competence. Not discussed are two other requirements - adequate information and voluntariness."

The first article goes on to discuss www.ajwrb.com, the Watchtower's "misleading excerpts from dated medical journals", the Watchtower's prejudiced view that Doctors are part of Satran the Devil's plan, and the Watchtower's disrespect for the confidentiality of patient's medical records...all of this with actual Watchtower quotes.

What's more, is ALOT of DOCTORS are going to read this.

The second article is really good too. It's written by Lee Elder. Lee states that not all JWs support the Watchtower's position on blood, and how authoritiarian the Watchtower is in its policy (not a democratic policy), and that the individual Witness must accept the Watchtower's dogma or lose family & friends in an extreme shunning.

MUST READ FOLKS, MUST READ THIS! VERY WELL WRITTEN

Did anyone else notice the sentence that says the WT lawyers are there to protect the Society, not the patient?

    Excellent articles.
