I remember back in the old days that JWs was using the word "Agape" when they write letters. What are your thoughts about it?

I think it was a way that you could say you loved someone w/o really loving them. I was told that agape meant that you loved what the other person believed. Like a brotherhood united in thought.

Another Filthful and Disgraceful Slavebugger play on words. Agape, which is supposed to be the highest form of love, is actually more based on principle. And it is supposed to be expressed universally, making it not the highest form. Or, maybe it could be higher. But Jehovah did not express it. Satan did--by going above and beyond his call of duty to set mankind free from a potential tyranny. Instead, Jehovah went ahead and set rules that restrict freedom of pleasure, subduing all joyful experiences and limiting His creatures while demanding sacrifices. Always creating punishments, and then claiming refraining from exercising them as rewards. That is not love, Almighty Baghead!

    I agree with loosie,

That's what I remember it meaning also. It was used to death in my old hall...

It's a way of saying, "you're ok as long as you're in step with the rest of us".
