Any facts showing whether the wts is growing or showing that it is declining?
Is the WTS increasing or decreasing?

If I remember correctly from research done by others, their growth is declining--meaning that they're still growing, but by slower rates. If current trends continue they'll flatten out and start to decline.

We've talked about this a lot lately. Growth means actual GROWTH in numbers, meeting attendance, hall builds, NEW baptized ones, and MORE publications not less and not having to look under rocks for people to count in the ranks....which is what they have been doing.
You know how when you were a kid you would see a plate of cookies and swipe one, then rearrange the plate to look like there arent any missing? The next guy doesnt know whats missing...but the guy who rearranged the plate does. The Society continues to try to puff themselves up to LOOK bigger but they are flat lining.
I dont care what their "numbers" say...they arent growing any more than they are able to predict when the END is coming....again.

Perhaps, but last year produced a growth of around 3 percent, which is an uptick. The years previous hovered around 1-2%.

I don't know what it means, but I read somewhere on this board that the gb claims invisible growth.

The HUGE over-turn is something I learned about only recently. The 3% apparent growth is actually reaping Lots of souks and shitting out " lots -3%". I've heard it works out to they "retain" about 34% of (the stupidest and most impressionable) members. Look to your left and right. If you're dumb enough to stay in for life, you won't be allowed to talk to either of those people someday soon (2/3 leave). Bring_the_Light

Very misleading. All they have is fake reports, people that go to a few boasting sessions and put in 15 minutes of field circus a month, dummy service, and people that spend more time in Starbucks than in the territory while out in field circus.
Sure going to be interesting in a few years.

The Watchtower is still increasing. However, whereas during the 60's it was one of the fastest growing religions globally, now growth barely exceeds the population growth rate.

JW facts,
you brought us very interesting info. Thank you! I was contemplating to not attending next week sunday WT study due to the unbearable rubbish they produce but I now was thinking: why not, and rub it in some more using some of your statistics in par. 15-18.
I was wondering why 2007 showed rejuvenation as you called it. Because I could not think of anything dramatic going on, like sept 11, it must have been something from the org itself. And then it hit me: it must have been the 15 minute preachers that were again counted.
I haven't checked on the figures yet, but I would suspect the following:
- increase of average hours per newly babtised between 2006 and 2007. ( I believe the arrangement took effect end of 2006) - decrease of the average hours reported per regular publisher between 2006 and 2007.
But perhaps you could make some comment on that.
Cheers
