So many times the WT uses a phrase close to that, when they really mean accept the GB's discipline. With all of these sex abuse cases and other skeletons in the GB closet coming to light, just like King David, perhaps somebody should tell the GB to take their own advice and accept Jehovah's discipline as all of their dirty laundry will continue to get exposed and they need to humble themselves. -

Yes, remember when Chas Russell wrote that they would never beg for donations, but when it was evident that the funds were drying up, they would realize they had lost Jehovah's Blessing.
Maybe they should start examining what they've done to lose Jehovah's Blessing because they are sure doing A LOT of wining about needing money!

They're not begging for donations. They're demanding, taking.
Sheesh! ;)

I have often mentioned to my (still in) wife that the gb likes to throw out wise sayings like
"accept jehovah's discipline" etc. My absolute favorite to bring up is "wait on jehovah?"
I tell her that if 'waiting on jehovah' is good why doesn't the gb "wait on jehovah"? Why doen't the gb wait until jehovah gives them the real, absolute, clear, no need to amend, truth before they put in writing crap that constantly requires 'nu-lite' to explain?
In other word, why not "wait on jehovah" to get it right before publishing a lot of horse sh*t in the wt?
just saying!

Most of the time accepting jehovahs discipline means accepting the dictates of the local alpha male elder as truth and acquiescing to his petty demands. -

So many catch phrases:
"wait on Jehovah"
"leave it in Jehovah's hands". This means, we really can't help you or we don't want to help you. So sorry!
"this organization is made up of imperfect men." I love this one. Too bad it is not considered when they are hanging YOUR a** out to dry in a JC.
"it's still Jehovah's organization." This is typically said after the person finishes bashing Jehovah's imperfect organization. It's like a button most of them HAVE to push to reset themselves. The Stepford wives.
"where else would we go if we left Jehovah's organization?" This on is just sad! This means we have no friends anywhere else and would just be lost without the constant daily guidance from the org on what the heck to do with our time.
What a crazy bunch of hypocrites!
