Thanks for posting that. Rowan and Martin really socked it to us with their revolutionary "Laugh In" show on Monday nights.
I was too young to appreciate it then, but I heard a lot about it. Dick Martin was the zany half of the act, and in real life he was intelligent, fun and classy.
Here's a snippet from Laugh-In with Dan & Dick and some of the zanies. It includes Nixon saying "sock it to me?"

I was just a kid but I do remember watching Laugh-In. It was a groundbreaking show for its time. I didn't know that Dick had passed. Sad.
