Many of the long time writers and researchers at the headquarter have died (Fred Franz, Karl Klein, Karl Adams (Awake editor), Dan Sydlik, Harry Peloyan etc.) and others disfellowshipped (Ray Franz, Ed Dunlap) They were in the 'inner circle' of Bethel. Then last week on the "Conference Call" with Barbara Anderson (a female, I don't think was even close to being acceptable for such 'researching' in the '70s) and Jay Hess talked there who did research and contributed writing (they mentioned a couple others) have been disfellowshipped. So years ago, many new books (larger books) would come out at assemblies. Now there are less books (and smaller). Who are the writers there now? Any of GB writers or researchers now, specifically? Their 'spiritual' food never was fresh, just terminal hash, and getting worse.
WTS writers/reseachers pool dwindling?

.....I don't know .....
But my 2ยข is that it doesn't take much to cut/paste from the WT CD or perhaps even one of the CDs on Randy's site.
Not like there is anything really 'new' in any of the pubs just a new cover & title with a few modern twists.

No researchers are needed. Just cut and paste whole chapters from previous publications. The WC reviews it and... ehhhh... if they want to through in a nonsense doctrine/procedure change here and there they do it. Simple.

The evil Internet probably helps a lot with research. Someone who is still in and has Bethel connections told me recently that most of the writing staff has resigned. I'll pm him, because I can't remember the details. Will post when I get the scoop.

Simple. You just rewrite the same story from a slightly different angle and call it a new publication. Of course, you have to incorporate the "new truths"--hence justifying a new book.
