The belief that a cosmic Jewish zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree.

a blatant misrepresentation and perversion of Christ's real teachings. It was intended as a tool to control the masses with religion, and the Catholic church was the first to teach it.

True Christianity is something that only Christ himself could properly practice.

a path most people take and misunderstand it along the way because they are all shouting to be heard at the same time instead of understanding first and then being understood.

You obviously have a better grasp of things than most of the Christians I have talked with.

Your mistake is to take the bible literally. Apparently it is merely a metaphor and you do not need the bible to be a Christian.

Just let Jesus enter your heart and enjoy a warm fuzzy feeling that comes from knowing that you are saved for a special purpose and will never die. As a slave of Christ you can then enjoy freedom!

If asked to explain what you base your beliefs on just become angry and shout loudly that you are being persecuted for your faith. This will provide you with proof that you have been chosen.

Christianity is a monotheistic[1] religion centered on the life and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth as presented in the New Testament.[2] As of the early 21st century, it has between 1.5 billion[3][4] and 2.1 billion adherents,[5] representing about a quarter to a third of the world's population.[6] It is the state religion of at least fifteen countries.[7]

Its followers, known as Christians, believe that Jesus is[8] the Son of God and the Messiah (or Christ) prophesied in the Old Testament, the part of their scriptures they have in common with Judaism.[9] To Christians, Jesus Christ is a teacher, the model of a pious life, the revealer of God, and most importantly the saviour of humanity who suffered, died, and was resurrected in order to bring about salvation from sin.[10] Christians maintain that Jesus ascended into heaven, and most denominations teach that Jesus will return to judge the living and the dead, granting everlasting life to his followers. Christians describe the New Testament account of Jesus' ministry as the Gospel, or "good news".

The disciples were first called Christians (Greek ???st?a???), meaning "followers of Christ", in Antioch.[11] Ignatius of Antioch was the first Christian to use the label in self-reference. The earliest recorded use of the term Christianity (Greek ???st?a??sµ??) was also by Ignatius of Antioch, around AD 100.[12]

Like Judaism and Islam, Christianity is classified as an Abrahamic religion (see also Judeo-Christian).[13][14][15] Through missionary work and colonisation, Christianity spread firstly in the Middle East, North Africa, Europe and parts of India and subsequently throughout the entire world.[16]

something that people made into a religion, a business.

When Jesus came to earth, there was no name. The term Christians makes sense, followers of Christ. How quickly that got messed up, but it doesn't mean that following Jesus is wrong. Humans have a way off adding things to something simple and easy, and making it muddled and difficult, especially if they're looking to control others or are greedy.

Reduced down to it's originality, Jesus, it is good. It's simple. It's love. It's truth with no room for lies, paganism, greed, power, selfishness. None of those things are love. By following Jesus, people should be loving to all people and teaching others that God loves them, no matter how awful the world views them.

Christianity is "Jesus" with a bunch of crap added to it so that it can make people not like Jesus, thereby keeping people away from Him, because they think Jesus must be bad if He stands behind these supposed "christians". He does NOT stand behind religion or "christians" who are unloving or false. Don't throw out Jesus with those people. Throw out the lies.

    Well said, r.a.m.

The simple invitation of Jesus, "Come be my follower," has been turned into a well-oiled propaganda juggernaut that crushes all trace of the original Message.

What an accounting is in store for all of us!

So, all of this that was written 90 years after he was born is "truth" etc.? Prove it.
Also, why throw paganism in with all of those other things?
