I just found a July 1, 2008, Watchtower on my doorstep. I DA'd myself seven years ago, and I notice the mag's format is different from back then. It seems more like an Awake! now and I don't see what looks like two study article with numbered paragraphs. Can anyone bring me up to speed on what the WBTS is up to lately? Thanks.

Paquito,
Welcome to the forum !!
The Society publishes two Watchtowers per month. The one dated the first of the month is for the public, and does not contain any study articles. The one dated the 15th of the month is the publishers-only version, which is not distributed to the public. That one contains all the Sunday study lessons (4 or 5 per issue).
They started this publishers-only version in January of this year.

I guess now the study articles are top secret "for your eyes only" material. What always got me was how they made a point of saying that certain releases were for baptized publishers only. For example that goofy WT library CD they put out, they always made it clear that it was not to be given out to non-witnesses or copied. I thought "who cares?" If the material is so great, you'd think they'd want everyone in the world to have a copy.

Sway, everyone in the world CAN get the Study edition... well, at least in Audio MP3 format:
Free download! If you want to listen to this stuff, that is.... that's A WHOLE NUTHER QUESTION!

LOL, now they are podcasting. Well, that's OK, don't want to hear anymore of it, they've taken enough of my life already. I'm still digging WT stuff out of the closet to put on ebay.
