I haven't posted on JWD for the past 4 or 5 days until tonight, because I've been busy. Had to spend a few days before the 4th getting ready for the BIG party, and it turned out really nice. The weather was cool, and it didn't rain. There were probably at least 100 people there to eat and sit around and talk and even more came for the fireworks. Our city puts on a spectacular display at the park right across the street from our house.

Over the weekend, my husband and a close relative of mine gutted my first floor bathroom and totally re-did it, so it's been an especially hectic the last few days. Because I use my real name, I won't be able to say who the close relative was, but he has left the "truth". I don't want to say anything that could get him df'd in case of trolls who read this site, but suffice it to say, I am very happy. He's been in since he was a young child and is now completely out. I never dreamed it would happen, but it did.

For those of you who have loved ones still trapped in the cult, please take heart. It really can happen. I have a few more who I would love to see come out, so here's hoping! Here's to a happy return to work on Monday! Cheers and goodnight.

i echo your sentiment about the delight of the weekend

had all 4 of the kids together plus the oldest son's g/f
who was meeting some of the younger siblings for the
first time.... lotsa great food and convo and photo taking.....
been 2 years since the last time and who knows how
    long until the next, right?

as for having family "in" and hoping for light to dawn on marble head...
well, i WAS that one.... my poor kids were tortured by wanting to have
a normal life, and knowing i was "disappointed" they werent droning
along with the rest of us "saved ones"

a delight of a weekend all the way around!

Mine was phenomenal. I stayed at America's oldest city, Saint Augustine, and truly enjoyed the celebration. I spent the 4th in the old city. I observed a period-correct assemblage of volunteer "soldiers" fire a great "canonazo" of old cannons off of the old Spanish fortress into the bay, and later enjoyed the eruption of fireworks over the same bay while standing in the dry moat of the San Marcos fort with an enormous crowd of all kinds assembled on the greens and the seawall.

My first real 4th after leaving the Tower.

My fiancee and I through our first party together this past weekend. I smoked over 20 lbs of pork (baby backs and boston butt) on July 4th, and then we had our friends and some family come on over. It was really, really great!

It was fantastic! Went to an awesome BBQ, rode my bike a TON and my boyfriend and I started packing up his stuff since he's moving in with me in the next couple of weeks. Yay!
