I have been for the past 3 years. We start in Ohio, and usually only make it half way through Kentucky. It is a fun experience, and everything imaginable can be found! Last year I ended up buying over 50 pounds of jewelry, as well as some really neat antiques. It will be tougher this year if we decide to go because of gas prices, but usually I am able to make a big enough profit on the stuff I decide to resell, that the trip usually pays for itself.

We have toyed with the idea of starting in Alabama this year, and heading north, but if we go, will probably just end up in Ohio and Kentucky again. Either way, it is fun, fun, FUN!!!

Here is more info about the sale...

    Baba,

If you are anywhere nearby, you should go, if even for one day. You would have a blast! And, you get to meet people from all over the USA, and all walks of life!

Before this year, it has started in Downtown Cincinnati, acroos into Covington, KY on US 127, then down. This year it is starting in Defiance, Ohio which is toward the northwest end of the state. The previous areas on 127 have had so much tourism that other parts of the states now want to get involved. The thrill of the hunt is the search of paying a few dollars for something, and having it be worth hundreds, if not over a thousand!!! Yes, it happens all of the time!

OH OH OH I'm going this year!!! I'm so excited. I'm going to meet my sister in Indiana and then we are going to Ohio to be at the start. We loooooove yard sales and junk stores and crap by the side of the road. I am so looking forward to this!

I've been to the Alabama end of it. Definitely an interesting day.

Didn't follow it too far north though as we were on another mission and wound our way through the back country into Northwest Georgia.
