I have a relative who has been out of the organization for several years. Now the elders have come out of no where and want her to meet with them or they will form a judicial committee. About a year ago she had a baby out of wedlock so that is why they are pursuing her. She currently lives with her parents as she needs their help with the baby and her mother watches the baby for her while she works (the father is totally out of the picture, there is no child support from him-long story). Her mother and father are both witnesses and the concern is that they (the elders) will put the parents in a position of having to kick her out. This would obviously put her in a desperate situation, a 1 year old baby and no place to live and no one to watch the baby while she works.
I know I have read on the board in the past about threatening the elders with either having their attorney involved or even attempting to bring the attorney to the judicial meeting. Has anyone here gone that route? How did it work? Any advice will be appreciated.
