  I have been a member of 3 discussion boards.

  1.The Lynyrd Skynyrd official board. 2. A site on the life of Pete Deul and 3. The Jehovahs Witness Discussion Forum.

  The Skynyrd and Deul boards were much smaller in terms of membership and yet the shit hit the pan and both boards closed .

  I have avoided corresponding on this and the other boards because I felt it was like walking on egg shells. (Ie I lacked the writting ability of say Compound and Complex whos style is well suited to hyper-space)

  Nevertheless I am grateful for everything I have learnt and with the closure of this board I can put to bed my Jehovahs Witness exsperience.

  I would like to thank the numerouse dedicated posters for keeping me lurking and a Special thanks to Simon and his family for keeping the site going so long.

  Michael, never be afraid that you aren't as good at posting as someone else.

  Post away.

  Eventually, you get good at it. Everyone will migrate to other JW-related sites.
  Pick the one(s) you like and never stop being yourself.

  Ditto to what OTWO said.
  When I was going to "the hall" the speakers that had the most impact on me was the new ones and the ones who were unsure of their speaking ability because I saw the effort they put into it and the humility.
  

  The ones who had spoken so long that it seemed like second nature to them was always the ones to put me to sleep. Ever time a new one gave a talk on the TMS I would perk up to listen intently.
