What does this expression mean? Isn't EVERY human being 'deserving'? Some WT expressions are just horrible.

Deserving ones, those who deserve the truth according to the wt. Ask a jw who deserves the truth (as in not a lie not jw speak) and they will tell you everyone deserves to be told the truth. Then ask them if they then disagree with the wt and read their definitions of 'lie' and they don't know how to answer. How do they determine who is 'deserving'? A jw will tell you that if it is a known apostate or opposer they don't deserve the truth and would be justified in lying to them. I wonder which scripture they use for that?
Side note, they really hate when you ask them about lying and when it is justified and then ask them "who is the father of lies?"

I love this one: "We want to give deserving ones the opportunity to learn of Jehovah's undeserved kindness and the Kingdom hope." - Our Kingdom Ministry, 12/1993, p. 7

Deserving ones is just another label for those who don't slam the door in your face. The WTS is all about labeling people.

You could say that the Watchtower has a severe problem using weird words. Who are the deserving ones? Depends with version of the watchtower you are dealing with, LOL.
I personally enjoy the profuse use of the word "thus".
