    I just saw it; sad indeed, makes you sit back and think about all the memories. When I hear the name "Harrison", I'll always think about the Bangladesh concert and the "All things must pass" album. Let us hope he has reached his Nirvana.

    And then there were two...

    Vastly under-rated as a songwriter (the first 'Beatles' (as in pre-Beatles)recording is 'In Spite of All the Danger' I think, and is Harrison and McCartney), and by the time of Abbey Road he was writing the stand-out songs, although he was never prolific.

    Also, he's the only Beatle who wrote a song covered by Sinatra!!

    Here's a few;

    Something (bit sacharine, and what i?s it with Patty Boyd (also inspired You Look Wonderful Tonight)
    While My Guitar Gently Weeps (very cool... )
    Here Comes the Sun (yup, a fine song... )
    Little Piggies (more acerbic and to the point than Lennon... )
    My Sweet Lord (okay, he ripped of the melody)
    All Things Must Pass

    AND, as TheOldHippie points out, he was Live Aiding whilst Geldof was in short trousers!!

    A loss...

    I recall a bethel speaker once use a old quote where they said they were bigger than Jesus Christ- and he went on and on

    this was during the 80's when the backward masking was hot on the table and over 3000 albums where thrown out of bethel

    sorry to hear the man died esp from cancer - my mom had that and thankfully we were able to treat it

    i was never into the beatles but any person's death is sad for it leaves family and loved ones grieving even many here who never met the man but loved his music-

    i would just love to hear the spin from a JW--

    "Now he has a chance of a ressurection now" mindset

    i'm sure
