Your eyes close, you internal light goes out and now you are among the dead. Opening your spiritual eye and seeing what life was really all about, and knowing all the more the mistakes you made the the misinformation you may have left behind for those who you loved to deal with. If you believe in life after death, and I know many on this board are passionate in their thoughts on this on both side. Would you not think, that if you had the power to do so and could see a way of accomplish the task. You just might try and get those whom you loved to leave the religion and not make the same mistakes as you. Perhaps the generation teaching was all wrong and yet right, for when this older generation is passing and leaving the world scene. Perhaps they are taking on another role, a role of perhaps righting mistakes and getting people to leave. Weakening the religion, by showing the logic and making it more available to see, of how much the religion is wrong. It is so easy to discount such an idea and call it all wrong, but maybe you exist in the point you are in your life today. Because someone on the other side helped you to see a sign, or maybe hear a thought, that made you go "Maybe I am wrong?" You may never know, until you die one day and join them. Maybe you will have less mistakes to right on the other side, then they did, thanks to them.

Maybe pigs will fly when evolution grants them big enough ears? I found a newspaper article recently that said scientists will soon be testing heart patients that have the classic near death experiences ,you know ,the tunnel of light ,paradise at the end of the tunnel etc. They are going to put pictures high up on top of shelves in emergency that can only be seen if one "dies" and "leaves " the body and then returns. When they are ressusitated they should be able to recall the pictures high up on the shelves if indeed they left their body ...I love the simplicity of this to show if there really is a spirit leaving the body as so many of these heart patients claim to have floated over their bodies . I guess it's one step closer to proving whether there really is an "other" side.

dummy: if I was having a near death experience and watching my body from outside, I think the last thing I'd notice is some picture stuffed on a shelf somewhere.

Well I'm not so sure doomie ,they seem to have the peace of mind and time to observe other things so what if they had pictures of loved ones or things that might catch their eye while floating around. They often recall conversations of the attending doctors etc and looking around the treatment theater.

So when I die, there is another test that involves pictures. Wasnt the test of life, hard enough? Now they came up with a god damned pop quiz!
