I know that college being compared to the use of alcohol, cigarettes and drugs in a recent Watchtower magazine has already been talked about both here and on JWS. But this video just cracked me up!

WT is trying to warn young people and their parents about the danger of sending an unformed personality into a high-pressure situation. Not everyone will agree with their assessment of the pitfalls associated with attending college directly after high school but there is nothing evil about issuing a warning.
We'll have to agree to disagree. Comparing a college education to substance abuse is cruel, dangerous and stupid. Substance abuse happens everywhere, including at high schools and work places.

I was unable to complete college when I was young due to my Dad having a stroke. I had to help with a failing family buisness. When everything finally leveled off I was married and working in construction. Without college my choices of employment were limited. College gives you choices. Cults don't want you to have much education or choices. Your too hard to fool or control.
