This is an excellent Shiraz from Australia. It has been sold out in the Northeast for weeks now. If you can get a hold of it - I recommend trying it. It is VERY inexpensive for this quality wine ($5-6 a bottle)
The description is as follows:
The 2001 Shiraz bounds forward from the glass with berry and vanilla oak aromas. Subdued earthy tones with soft ripe sweetness are displayed in perfect harmony with fine tannins. This is a great Aussie Red which will go great with pasta, steak or even a beaut fillet of kangaroo steak. The Chardonnay rocks too (if you like Kendall Jackson Chardonnay 1998 -you'll love this)
I had never had Australian wine before and a friend suggested we try it. It is wonderful :o)
