Is it necessary that man should strive to be "as perfect as god"?

Does man have the capability to become as "perfect as god"?

All the rules and laws, and statutes, and commandments have not served to make man perfect. It has all been a source of great burden and hardship.

Do you think in the future man will be "raised to perfection" by using digital computer-type programming?

    Would you go for that?

"Perfect" is one word with many different levels, and at the absolute, it means everyone fits a particular mold. That would not be desirable if everyone thought the same (and especially if because they are being forced to).

In other senses, it is very good. If people were morally perfect, they would always do what is good for self and society, and never do what is bad for self or society. We all know that most of us fall short of even that ideal, and a lot of it is because of religion. If that issue were totally corrected, the free markets and science would take care of everything in short order, and allow perfection in other areas like health and the economy.

What's wrong with just striving to be true to yourself and being who you are?

Like changing the world, trying to acheive what you think is the perfect humanity usually makes things far far worse than they were already.

We can only hope to change little things in our own lives for the better, but this snowballs over time.

I am even convinced that the current "crisis" will have many beneficial knock on effects. Especially helping us all see what is truly important in our just being on this little planet.

I never understood the concept of perfection. I guess I understand from a limited sense a perfect body. But as they say, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. If we all are perfect in every way, would that make us the same?

If a perfect body falls off a cliff, does it heal faster? Does a perfect body defy death? If so, where does risk come in?

When you think of perfection related to thought, I think we are pretty damn close. But if we were perfect does that mean that we can calculate math problems with out a calculator? Is it the intention of a perfect mind to match the speed and accuracy of a super computer?

Will perfection mean that we lose our free will so that we don't make moral errors?

I used to think about these things while sitting through meeting after meeting talking about the paradise. Now, I just want a beer.

Will perfection mean that we lose our free will so that we don't make moral errors?

Doesn't that seem to be the general idea of perfection?

After all, we've had all these rules and laws and commands and we have not been able to meet them to perfection while having free will.

IDK, but I just get this feeling that the freewill and emotion will have to be knocked out of us in order to attain this robotic perfection.

Only Stepford People will be ideal candidates for the final phase.
