To all the fundie, doomsdayer type religions, bad events like the financial crisis are always signs of the end. And any and all efforts by the governments to improve conditions are viewed as futile.
Don't buy into that religious nonsense. They have been predicting the end of the world for thousands of years. And they have always been wrong.

It's a the difficult part of a changing world. Hopefully we will learn that unregulated capitalism is as destructive as any other ism out of control. We will learn and make changes but it's not much different than making sausage. Carmel

It's good that the market responded to the government's plan to invest directly in banks.
The ups and downs of the market have happened for decades, and willl happen for many decades longer. The world is not ending.
