Why, if all things were created through Jesus, does the new world translation wait till genesis 1:26 for God to say let "US" make, and then revert back to ignoring the us in verses 27-31 to just God. In verse 31 it says again just that God saw everything "he" made was good?

    31

After that God saw everything he had made and, look! [it was] very good

    Ok well here goes.

JW's believe that in the beginning it was God only, no Jesus. By the time the earth was being created, Jesus had already been created. Therefore the "US' in the JW religion means Jesus and Jehovah.

Is this the answer you were looking for?

I think everyone is on the threads for the presidential debates.

I myself, am not too good at that, right now I don't really care.

But I do see your point, I am sure someone will explain it soon.

God directly created His only begotten son, through which all other things were created.

As found elsewhere in the Bible, God is Love.

Love flows through all His creation.

God makes everything in His Love, His Image.

The things He creates choose their destiny.

    Love, or something else.

That is the choice of those living.

And those who die will be judged according to their choices.

Thankfully, Grace has been extended through Christ's sacrifice..

    It's a choice.

    BA- 'Nuff said.

    My observations of Jehovah's Witnesses is . . . they're confused . . . Biblically, ethically, politically, morally, medically, . . . confused.

Now, which way is the door?

I don't think we need to read too much into the switch from God to us,

I think of it a bit like an Architect looking at a building he designed,at one point we may say"that he built" at another we may acknowledge the others involved in the construction.

I don't think the writer of Genesis was concened with teaching us about the relationship between God and Christ, but certainly he shows that God was not a lone" Being "in the creation work.

Booby, you can view those verses in different translations at this site:

    http://onlineparallelbible.com/

So, you see that the NWT is not alone in its translation.

You can connect the dots for yourself.
