two seasons of the X Files, and I'm hooked. I'm not sure why. I never watched it much when it was on tv because Fox didn't come in very clear. There seems to be about 3 different formulas that the show uses, and they're all based on those formulas while chaning up names and places. There's a constant sense of distrust through the entire show, mainly distrust of the government, and everyone believes that Mulder is a crackpot while he repeatedly redeems himself. It's really pretty silly, but interesting nonetheless. Plus, skully is hot.

    Anyone else a fan?

John Doe!!! Don't you dis the Xfiles!! That has got to be probably my favorite show of all time. I don't watch much TV, but that is good stuff. You keep watching. We have every season. And we got them when they were 100 bucks per!!! Now they are like 35, with less packaging. They peak around 3-5 I'd say. Lot's of awesome characters, and they are more defined.

    Warning Warning Warning Plot spoiler........

The story lines began to suck shortly there after......and I strong recommend you not waste your time with 2008 X-files movie release.

Yknot........ once of the X-files biggest fans but much like the third season of Lost.....it get lame!

Must agree with ynot about the latest film release though..I found it poor..but the first X Files film was really good and added to the progressing story line

I loved the X-Files. The weirdest one was I think called "The Family" Where it opens with a group of boys playing baseball and a buried baby is discovered that has just about every mutation a child could have. There starts the investagation. It has overthemes of "The Andy Griffith Show" since it takes place in a very peaceful small town which has an secluded and secretive family that has lived there since before the civil war that no one interracts with. Creepy, funny and bizarre ending.

I liked it until Duchovney left.

I just won 3 on ebay. New copies, and I'm averaging $14 a season. I wasn't dissing the show, I just had never watched a television series of episodes back to back like that. It's much easier to pick up on the repetitiveness and the same formulas when you watch them close together, as opposed to one every few weeks.

Chris Carter is a multi millionaire and with good reason. That was a great series.
