People complain about Obama. Even on the news here tonight we had some dumb ass Americans saying he's a Soviet revolutionary oooh a Muslim or his name doesn't sound American" but couldn't a pile of bricks be a better President then George Bush? He seems "not all there." In the movie "Harold and Kumar escape from Guantanimo bay" many good political points were made America has lost all it's money the respect of the world and the war in the middle East all in a few short George Bush years. People say how "bad" things will get when Obama takes over...Hello! You can't go lower then rock bottom....the only way is up.....even we here downunder feel relief he's gone in a week.....IT IS TIME FOR CHANGE GO OBAMA.

    And please don't hurt him.

First of all, one of your basic assumptions is wrong. Nothing is ever so bad it cannot get worse. Second of all, we are not at rock bottom, not by a long shot. Do you really think at this juncture it is impossible to damage the American government? Well, do you?

Yes he was. History will show Carter was better than he's been given credit for.

I stand corrected John Doe if you were all wearing Leopard skins and hunting Baffalo to survive, it would be worse.....if you were killing each other over the remaining fuel in a post-apocaliptic world it would be worse.....if you gave George Bush four more years, that would make the living envy the dead.

I can't see Sarah having any capacity in a government, least of all the United States. I'm sorry that this will offend some, but that's just the truth.

To me, she seems so completely out of her league. Would you trust her with the codes to nuclear weapons? (what Matt Damon said!)

The U.S. needs more professional people in office. You are a superpower, and a huge force in the world.

I believe that George W Bush has damaged the credibility and reputation of the United States, and that many, many voters will not vote for the next Republican candidate because he is viewed as too "similar" to George W Bush.

What voters are looking for is the candidate who is "the least similar" to Bush.

We will see for certain in five days.

Well votes got the president least similar to bush, they got one who is so socialistic its incredible that they american public can't see it. our choices were bad and worse. I was hoping at least that McCain would get in ther and then we would have a chance to have a real leader sometime after that and that would have been "Palin", she treats the people of Alaska well and she would have treated us just as well. Obama is a socialist and I don't wish him well. Joe biden while likeable is also a closet socialist. JFK would be appaled that we elected people like them to run (or is that ruin) this country. Like I said the two presidential choices were bad and worse and worse got picked.
