Congrats to Americans for voting for a man who is obviously the better man and he's black wow! In the 1960's a little old black lady refused to give up her seat on the bus to white folks as was the rule....black students were refused entry to white Universities even by the Governor of the state representing them! Today you voted for a Black President and won back your respect from the rest of the world.....well done...congrats from Australia.
1960's Segragation to Black President 2008 Congrats to USA from the world!!

In his speechs he seems like the better choice...now doing what he promised is another story. I will hold my opinion if he was the right choice when he actually gets in there and does the job he was elected to do. I'm not sure how electing a black man gives us respect to the rest of the world...I would hope his foreign policy will gain us that respect. Only time will tell if he was the right choice or not.

1959 Alabama Obama would not be allowed to attend the same University as white folks...without the National Guard....today 2008 he is the President of the United States and holds the Nuclear codes....like I said well done USA.

On December 1, 1955 in Montgomery, Alabama, Parks refused to obey bus driver James Blake's order that she give up her seat to make room for a white passenger. Her action was not the first of its kind: Irene Morgan, in 1946, and Sarah Louise Keys, in 1955, had won rulings before the Supreme Court and the Interstate Commerce Commission respectively in the area of interstate bus travel. But unlike these previous individual actions of civil disobedience, Parks' action sparked the Montgomery Bus Boycott.
