Just to look at Jim Jones was enough to see he was weird and his eyes were always hidden behind sun glasses and there is something that was always creepy about that guy. Yet he brainwashed all those innocent people to drink koolaid and they all died, how terribly tragic. I wonder if the GB has any cynide pills just in case they are lynched.

Being that WT had convinced me to believe that we weren't a cult, I didn't pay much attention to this incident. Tonight therefore was very enlightening. I didn't realize that a U.S. Congressman was killed investigating this. If only the government had used this as a springboard to research cults and HCG's....

I watched when it aired Thursday and was very saddned and depressed after hearing the audio tape of the children crying out in pain as they were being poisoned. And you can hear this sick bastard ( J Jones) telling the crying children to be quiet and die with dignity. I was in disbelief that people can be led so blindly and have their minds controlled so much, that when given instructions to kill their children and babies, they do it willingly. Very scary and very sad.
And while this case was extreme, it provides a wake up call to anyone placing their faith in any human or human organization, willing to die and sacrifice human life at the command of men. The blood issue of JW's reminds me of this.

Caught a video on You-tube recently and while watching it you can pinpoint certain
characteristic traits that the JWS use on recruitment procedures and containment of the members
and there were obvious similarities on how operational mind controlling works.
