Germany had said it considers Scientology to be in conflict with the principles of the nation's constitution, calling it less a church than a business that uses coercion to take advantage of vulnerable people.

A report on extremism last charged that Scientology "seeks to limit or rescind basic and human rights, such as the right to develop one's personality and the right to be treated equally."

The Church of Scientology has long battled to end the surveillance, saying it is an abuse of freedom of religion, and the U.S. State Department regularly criticizes Germany for the practice in its annual Human Rights Report.

The US should mind its own damned business and get off its ass and at least deal with the cults here that cover up child molestation, domestic violence and rape.

The German government probably calculated that at their persent burn rate of cash and the faltering economy, they will soon be marginalized anyway. :-))

Maybe I should consider joining Scientology. With all this persecution, they must be the 'true' religion!

Now why don't they go all out and attempt to ban Jehovah's Witlesses? After all, they go door to door to initiate the use of fraud to extort money and time from people in the territory, plus they extort children born within the cancer to stay there under threat of ruining their families. And getting destroyed at Armageddon.
