40 minutes drive to a new resort built at Mornington natural hot thermal springs....it's very relaxing in winter to enjoy a hot spa in natural spring water that is replaced every 30 minutes. The area is surrounded by wineries and beer brewers and farms....japanese and Russians come from miles to enjoy this as part of their culture.
Natural Hot spring near my home! Have you tried this! HOT!

I would love to try a hot spring. Never have had the chance. Just in a hot tub. I bet they are fantastic. It certainly would be good for what ails you. I would love it on a account of my arthritis'
It would be so relaxing, and my girl friend has a hot tub and I hope to be in it when I go up there for Christmas.

That is wonderful. I have a 90 minute drive into the desert to get to the hot springs and campground of Agua Caliente. It is a great place to go when it gets relatively cold and rainy in the winter.

We passed a commercial one today, but it was too hot for a soak so we moved on.
There are a lot of natural hot spas within an hour and a half of here. Pools, baths, creeks, waterfalls, lakes, and many of the best ones are free, sometimes little known and hard to find.
There a quite a few we haven't been to yet, including some that can only be reached by boat. I have a boat

I think your next closest hot spring is Dalhousie Springs about 2140 kms drive, but I have heard it is getting a bit touristy now.

Yellowstone National Park has a lot of hot springs with water temperatures in excess of 400°F.
I'll stick with a hot tub.
