My city was awaken by an earthquake this morning, people ran out on the streets... (and we never have quakes where I live).

We had an earthquake strong enough to crack sidewalks and rattle windows here in Ohio, which is pretty uncommon. But it happened back in 1990, and the big A hasn't hit yet. No worries!
