My job, I'm a utility construction foreman, requires lots of documentation. While I don't really care for the paperwork, I do like the paycheck. The key to paperwork is to never ever get behind. Getting caught up sucks.
I recently read a book on ADD, and know I have it.
The filing in my brain just does not connect well for ....filing.
I used to think I was lazy and stupid, now I know I am not wired for it. and don't kick myself so much.
I remember before doctors offices filed ins companies for payment, I would just pay the bills myself to keep from doing the paperwork.
I really hate it.

I can follow someone else' system, and do fine. I won't like it, but I'll do it. But making and keeping my own system is...is...is... gawdawful. I'm sure I over complicate it in every way.

Yes, I don't beat myself up to the extent I used to, back when I thought I was failing everyone including Jehovah. But damn, sometimes it's frustrating having such a hard time with things you know a trained monkey could do - and you know it because you've worked with plenty of trained monkeys if office buildings everywhere :-D.
I've got ADHD big time. I enjoyed the book by Dr. Hallowell, First Things First. He just explained that I have a race car brain! And for paperwork, which is the bane of my existence, the best system I've found is in a book called, File Don't Pile. Cheap and it works, although it takes a while to set up.
