Can anyone tell me if the WT haz ever been sued successfully?
I am mainly refering to their (bogas) blood policy. Have they settled out of court, were the transcripts sealed? I realize the government stays clear of religious issues, but when it comes to MURDER, surely someone haz tried! I talked to R.Waters briefly & he compared the Christian Scientists (medical policy) to the Dubs. Any help?

The Society was sued by Olin Moyle, Legal counsel for the Watchtower of all people. He was awarded $50,000.00 alot of money in those days, early 1940s.

The Society has certainly been sued successfully, but in practice they usually have won. In many cases the Society will offer, literally at the last minute, a relatively small settlement in exchange for keeping the suit from going to trial, and always with a gag order. Thus hardly anyone outside the parties to the lawsuits know the results. I've been told that WTS lawyers often laugh when they manage to convince someone to accept a paltry $20,000 for a major offense, and that these lawyers are authorized to settle for as much as $150,000 without having to go to their Brooklyn bosses. My hope is that soon, several major cases concerned with child molestation will be successfully brought against the Society, without an out-of-court settlement and without a gag order. The resulting publicity would be devastating.
