I'm listening to the radio and internet and one is a little behind the other.

    I wonder why?

FM is a direct signal and AM bounces off the stratosphere (I think that's the one). Internet is streamed and, depending on your ISP, the signal could be bouncing off a satellite.

    Thank you, Big Tex.

Now that I've listened more closely, the FM radio is ahead of the Internet.

I've learned about this after years of watching games (football, basketball, etc.) but turning the sound down on the TV and listening to the radio broadcast. The radio has always been ahead of the TV broadcast, mainly because the television signal has further to travel.

It can get kinda weird but after all these years I've gotten used to it.

If you could watch a tv station on a tv connected to an antenna and another tv connected to cable, the cable tv is nearly 3 seconds behind the antenna tv.

I thought it allowed for censoring purposes but the explaination by Big Tex makes more sense.

The things we can learn from each other!

My hat's off to both of you.
