To those of you suffering inside due to being apart from loved ones due to JWism, my deepest sympathy to you. It's a terrible and wrong thing for that organization to rip families apart.
Hang in there.
Merry Christmas to everyone....especially those separated from loved ones..

The JWs messed up my family, but I still have sisters, nieces, nephews, and friends to visit and celebrate Christmas with. While speaking to a coworker yesterday, I learned that he won't be celebrating Christmas either, but working on a paper instead. His family celebrates, but he won't attend because of frequent family fights that often come to blows. This is a generous guy who spends most of his spare cash and vacation time going to third world countries to help the less fortunate. It was too late this year, but next year I'll probably plan something myself and invite him.

Yes, hang in there everyone who is hurting this Christmas and missing separated witness family members and friends. As time goes on, those witnesses will be replaced in your life with wonderful other people who you will love and call friends.
It seems hard to envision now, today Christmas 2008, but the day will come when you will no longer miss those locked in that sad religious prison.
One day the Christmas lights will seem cheerier! The snow more beautiful and cleaner! The future brighter!
