Does anyone know what the JW's are saying about not having the bookstudy

during the week because of the lame excuss of the price of gasoline being so high?

Are any of them clammering to get the bookstudy back now that the price of gas

is at a 7 year low point? My wife is tickled pink that she does not have to go out

of the house on Tuesday evening. Her words were "thank you Jehovah."

The WTBTS has made a very serious error in judgment with dropping the CBS.

They will have to do something in the future to compensate.

Older ones are sad because the afternoon BS was a source of socialization for those who are not able to drive at night. Many fear becoming forgotten.

Younger ones.............WOOT WOOT, Do a little dance, make a little love, goof off night, goof off night.....

Oh sure all will say they are 'studying' but at least two families have signed their kids up to and

A few JW's will begin to realize in time that nothing bad has happened since the bookstudy was stopped- in fact, they will feel better the fewer meetings they attend. I too, wonder what the R&F are saying in private about the demise of the bookstudy.

My daughter told me they were no longer having the Monday night meeting ( they met on Mondays not Tuesdays), she said they were cutting it because they knew what a strain it was on families. She was really happy about it but, still acted like it was an act of kindness.

Hmmm, if that's the case, maybe they'll cut out disfellowshipping. Now that's a REAL strain on families!

It's funny they never gave thought to the strain it was on families in the past. Wasn't it alway's a strain on families? I guess a the new light enlightened them.

I would bet money that most of them are not spending the whole evening studying washtowel materials or practicing field circus. Most are either studying just the Bible, playing games (real games, not that Washtowel Trivia game), reading real books, watching TV, staying late at work, going to bed early, or doing other things.

I met my former meeting interpreter at Acme (Albertson's), and she said that since the meeting was canceled, she was just doing errands. I told her that I wouldn't be studying! I would be going to the movies, shopping, or watching TV. She whole heartedly agreed with me and burst out laughing. She knows I don't go any more and why. She is saddened by it but understands my reasons.

Yes, My P.O. buddy said...."Pretty Cool huh!?" He was thrilled, that the book study night was being merged into the TMS / SM night.

I have yet to hear anyone in my cong. say that they miss this "wonderful provision from Jah"
