If Witnesses highlighted love, wouldn't you think the Organization would grow?
Or if they stressed Bible doctrines more than rules, do you believe they might produce a larger, happier community?

Most Witnesses are currently in it for one of two reasons:
1. Waiting for the Paradise Earth
2. Depending on support from family who are Witnesses
I don't know what "basics" can really change the motivation of the first group, though the second group would be more open to fundamental changes, imo.

Nope. Cat's already outta the bag w/ the internet, etc. As it becomes increasingly important in business, everyday life, etc., they'll be unable to staunch the bleeding.
I think religions can rethink their options to attract followers. The Catholic Church has done it in various ways. The Mormons look less cultic than in the 30s.
Minimus..Don`t you know the WBT$ is all about love!!..Or..What a loving organization the WBT$ is??.....JW`s advertise it amongst themselves at every opportunity!!....Telling a JW they need love in their organization, will only get you laughed at..LOL!!........."Jehovah`s Witness`s are the Happiest People on Earth!!"..The WBT$ say`s so!!..LOL!!............Minimus you better get back to a Kingdom Hall or God is going to destroy you!....It`s the only place you`ll find real love and happieness!!..Not to mention a safe place to be,when God goes Postal!!............................

All they have to do is continuously write Watchtowers and give talks emphasizing loving works vs. time counting and rules and regulations. In no time, people would feel as if Jehovah's Slave is giving food just at the right time.
If you de-emphasize the time counting, hours may drop. That means fewer books and magazines meaning less revenue.
On the other hand, it might attract more people, which might mean more contributions, which means more revenue.
Which will get them more revenue? Book and magazine "sales" or contributions?
If there's no love in the organization to offer, where's it going to come from?
Placing mags and books isn't a big money maker.
If they would get to the very core of what Jesus taught, they would attract many more and keep them. That core is that people should not repeat the work Jesus already did, but should rather continue where he left off. That would assure that people would be able to progress, and actually think on their own, instead of just repeating (uselessly) what some Filthful and Disgraceful Slavebugger claims he already did.
