My 40th reunion is coming up this year... yikes!!!!!!! I will be helping to plan it... which is ironic because I couldn't hang out with anyone in my hs back then because I was a jw. Kinda making peace with the past... I went to my 35th reunion, and it was great! Big surprise...people were really nice! There should be more people there this time, 'cause it's the big 4 0.....

Anyone else here listed on classmates.com? Been to your reunions?

    My 35th is this year.

I'm on classmates.com and I'm waiting to hear of a reunion. The organizers of my class reunions are on my myspace friends list so I wont miss an announcement.

I did'nt attend previous years reunions because I never recieved an invite. My family had moved to another town following my Junior year so I graduated in a new school system which I spent one year in.

    I don't like classmates.com

I signed up for an inexpensive trial but found I never used it.

Then, out of nowhere, I saw a $39 charge on my credit card just the other day. Obviously they had put my account on Auto Renew without my knowing about it.

I emailed them requesting that they reverse the charges and close the account. What I got back was a canned response with instructions on how to turn off the Auto Renew.

I sent another message requesting they reverse the charges and am waiting for their response.

If they don't give back my money I'll dispute the charge with the credit card company.

That's a 'feature' of classmates.com. You need to read the fineprint on anything that you sign up for - especially when your credit card is involved. I've signed up with them before - and after 5 or 10 days have to go online and go through the 'cancel' procedure - so my credit card won't be hit again - and - again, month after month.

I guess I'm going on a 35-year reunion this year - if they have one... only... I don't know many folks at the school I graduated from - since I only went there for 1.75 years.

My 25th is this year. Sadly, I still live in this hellhole of a town. After I graduate college, I hope to find employment and a reason to get the hell out of here (after spending most of my 42 years here).

I will likely go if I hear about it. I am on classmates, but I refuse to pay them buggers. I think my younger brother is on it so I may ask him to access a couple of people for me. There are only a small handful I want to see, and I figure it will be the first and only reunion I go to. I was not popular in HS (JW..and I was just a nerd and a social mess....now I am just a social mess).

I went to my 20th reunion which was back in 91,

That was 18 years ago. It was good. I'm glad I went.

My 20th should be 2011 right before the end of the world, should be interesting.

I think I will go if they have one.

I live in Florida, I went to school in Cleveland, Thats pretty much the only time I would see anyone.

I'm listed on Classmates under Bass Guitars.

I dont get excited or even read the mail classmates sends me.

They always tell me about the 5 classes that I didnt graduate with.

And hardly anything about my class.

I graduated in 71, they tell me they have new listings for 68, 69, 73,74 ,75.

They will say you have 5 new listings and none of them are from my class.

I dont even read their mail if someone is trying to contact me they will

    be out of luck.

If they want to talk to me they could contact my family in Cleveland, they are in the

    phone book.

Hey, JagBass, I graduated in 70!

I live in the area I went to school in, so I can sometimes visit the RiteAid and have a class reunion! My class was small, 90-something, so we all pretty much knew each other.

The only guy I ever had a serious beef with in my class turned into a thug and went to prison and may be dead now for all I know. He was one of those guys that looked 35 when he graudated!

Other than that I was pretty well liked and got along with everyone, not bad for a JW who didn't go to any dances or play any sports. Hey, by this time in my life I've even slept with te girl that I'd always wanted to sleep with in high school - so even the fantasies have worked out.

I've been to my 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th, 25th, 30th and 35th reunions. Now we have them at really well-liked (gay) classmate's house, rent some tents, tables and chairs, cookout, drink, relax, talk and work on a class float for a week or two. A few classmates that I really liked have never come to one, and often don't live in the area. I watch the obits, and if I happen to see where one of them has lost a parent or grandparent, I'll go to the visiting hours to say hi and see how they are doing.

Ah, smalltown life where alumni is a HUGE, four day event timed to coincide with Father's Day every year.
