A very true and inspirational speech by Steve Jobs. The things he speaks about is exactly what the GB don't want you to experience.

That was worth the watch... ironic of course since he never graduated college and is standing there giving advice to Stanford graduates.

The real reason for no education in JWs is just as they say... because we leave the organization. So they are right... about that. Who's the winner now?

"Death clears out the old to make way for the new". How true - apart from the WTB&TS were the old are simply replaced by clones of themselves.

No education--and no work except field circus. You are supposed to just do field circus, all the time--regardless of what you want to do. And get nothing out of life--it belongs to that Almighty Lowlife Scumbag Jehovah and His Filthful and Disgraceful Slavebugger and His Washtowel Babble and Crap Slaveholdery.

That was an awesome speech and sage advice, kids.

BTW...think you have no $$$ for college? You can always do what he did by dropping in on classes, but you will need to get the instructors permission first.

I attended many classes through audit off and on through the years. I took subjects that interested me. I did not care about getting college credit for it. I was going for the knowledge, not the alphabet or framed paper.

While I was enrolled in college (officially) the credit load was too grueling to give sufficient research to subjects that I would like to have pursued with more depth. There was just no time to be able to focus a deep exploration of one subject without neglecting work required in other subjects. This was the aspect that perplexed me the most.

For me, auditing classes (some for a small fee) just for the knowledge was worth it. Also, many colleges offer "continuing education" courses for the public. In most communities, this requires no previous college or entrance exams, and is a very beneficial program for people who would like to attend a specialized class once or twice week. It is usually open to all ages, young and old.

There is no reason to blame a religion for a personal lack of ambition. The opportunities are out there.
