And what are your cousin's initial impressions?
It's a great start. Congratulations. Be patient, and give it time to sink in before starting a conversation about it. Maybe wait till she asks more questions.
She's in-active and don't agree with a lot of things in the org but she's afraid to leave. She's a lot of guilt.
We can talk very openly abt it and she asks a lot.
Thats huge. Take your time with her. Its like talking a child out of a street. You want to save them but if you rush them they might freak and run into traffic you know?
Armageddon is the least of her problems.
I don't think she would have accepted if there weren't already some doubts. But it may be a while before what she reads in that book sinks in. I had a guy I work with give me 30 Years a Slave of the Watchtower to read while I was a jw. I didn't run right out and quit the tower but seeds were planted.

Maybe simple logic from the Bible will ease that fear:
"God is a God of love."
"There is no fear in love."
Fear is the opposite of love.
Any religion that represents God, must by definition be a religion of love and cannot be a religion of fear.
The Wathtower religion is a religion drenched in fear.
Therefore, the Watchtower religion cannot possibly be religion of God, OR of love.

And I'm sure right now she is probably afraid that somehow someone will find out she is reading Crisis of Conscience. It is amazing how they defend the Watchtower and tell everyone what a wonderful loving organization it is and yet they live in terror of it. Hopefully she will see the disconect there.
I Quit nd Farkel, thx for your tips!
Wow great stuff. You could have a Crisis of Conscience study: so much more revealing than a Watchtower one.
All the best
