I certainly don't know any details of this case apart from what I read on the BBC site but if it was my daughter or wife or mother that had suffered from this man I most certainly would not be happy with the sentence.

Does this type of sentence have the possibility of parole? What could be the justification for only 6 years?

The girl is permananently disfigured.
It may be an option to have the judge raped in the same manner as the victim and then ask the judge what he thinks the sentence should then be.
@leavingWT - the Daily Mail is not a credible news source - it feeds on older and middle aged peoples' paranoia about immigrants and 'things not being the way they used to'
the front page graphic featured on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daily_Mail should give you an idea - note the sullen, faceless group of young unemployed men representing immigrants contrasted with the happy smiling white Caucasian Mum Dad and 2 kids who have left Britain to seek a new life no doubt featuring 'traditional values'.
there is no problem with the story you linked to - its just the sheer weight and volume of similar stories in the Daily Mail that make it an unrealistic depiction of life in Britain

All but the very worst offenders (?!) get out after serving half their term with good behaviour.
- so he'll be out in three (or less depending how much time he spent on remand whilst awaiting trial and sentencing).
