I have now seen two threads where it was claimed that the Witchtower Babble and Trash

Society have had a letter read out from the gibbering Buddy that everbody is to put aside

$5 a week to support the Borg (pay the bills of the old dust farting reptiles in Crooklyn)

Has anybody got concrete RUMOR-PROOF news of this ?????

Rumor proof or not, I am not sending $5.70 a week to an organization that I am not getting at least $5.70 a week worth of value from. Nor am I sending $57.00--or $570, or anything. To me, they don't deserve even a damn penny.

This sounds like the annual CO insurance payment scam plan.

Back when I was still in, every year or so, the congregations were asked to pony up money to pay for the COs insurance. It covered car and health insurance, if I remember correctly.

Each congregation had an amount to pay and then it would be announced to the congregation what the amount was and if each person donated X amount, it would cover the costs.

While this practice isn't a new scam asking people to donate so much a week or month, it still goes against their long held boast of never asking for money. Most dubs never questioned it...what's $5 a year to help out the beloved traveling brothers and their wives? I guess nobody bothered to multiply $5 x 5,000,000. Not to mention that the Society is it's own underwriter (or so I've been told).
