Calling Christians who don't

This may be a non-starter as a thread, because of the way I feel.

If you are still a believer in Jesus, you may have joined another religion or group,I do not feel inclined so to do,I feel that ALL organized religion has error in it,and is made by men for men. Also as I am trying to "fade" there are dangers,if I was seen attending.

However,I do feel the need for spiritual association, and especially I feel the desire to share in The Lords Supper and drink the wine and eat the bread.

Any ideas on how to do that without going to a Church etc ?

Crazy I know, but that is where I'm at ,right now.

    Love

Wobble why not just do it at your own home? Quite a few on here do and you'll find threads on this subject popping up closer to the Memorial.

BTW I sent you an email earlier today.

How would you feel about going to a Salvation Army service? They aren't like regular churches but they do celebrate the Lord's Supper occasionally. They don't force any doctrines on you (you don't have to become a fully uniformed member if you don't want to!) - and you'd also get the opportunity to do some real christian service in the community if you like

Alternatively, this is a good online site: http://www.stpixels.com/view_releases.cgi

At my church (an independent evangelical church) you can come in and take communion with us any Sunday. I'm sure there are others. Call around, ask the question and see what you hear.

Being part of a Christian religion rubs against my grain a bit. However, consider this: Christianity has always been a communal religion.

Ritual is extremely valuable to the human animal. It is used across the spectrum in human experience, most of the time it has a validation effect I suppose. It does for me. When I was 15 and living in Las Vegas (junior year), I was not yet a JW, and had pretty much rejected the Jesus stuff and most definitely church (the last church I went to was at 13 when my mom dragged me once more to Robert Schuller's Garden Groove Community Drive-In Church Complete with Speakers In Your Car Window and Neighbors Picking Their Nose), but I had this inner gnawing for communion with God. So I did my own bread and wine thing in my room, by myself.

Well, the ritual thing really remained with me. Very powerful to the primal being.

All of the JWs I know who have converted to Catholicism (quite a few) have done so partially due to the importance of religious ritual. We desire higher communion. JWS have no communion, no real friends, and nothing to please the primal animal. It's all "cotton balls in yer head" in the end, you just got ripped off.

The Man said: Where two or three gathered together in my name, there I am in their midst,

That's all the it takes, big numbers are not necessary.

If I experience the reality of what the bread and wine stand for, why do I need the symbols?
