    G'day Bluemoon33604,

She sounds like my wife, has she got red hair, big boobs and the temper of a Scotsman?

As a JW I usually went to bed about 10pm New Years Eve, woke abruptly at midnight cursing whoever was sounding of thier car horn and banging bin lids together then went back to zzzz at about 12.45. New Years Day and Xmas were best spent down the beach (one jw habit i haven't broken out of)

Whiskey is a hard womans drink, my advice to you is don't look in her eyes unless you wanna marry her for life everlasting in which case do exactly as she tells you and you'll be fine.

    Merry New Year, unclebruce.

    Welcome BM33604!

When I WAS a JW, for many years, I used to stay up and watch all New Year's Eve specials. (Dick Clark's concert specials were my favorite) I didn't go to parties and I didn't go drinking. Now, I think I'm making up for that!

I live near a large city, and some people celebrate by buying a button pin for $5. On New Year's night, people that are wearing the button, can get in to all kinds of shows, outdoor street parades, art exhibits, and ice sculptures. It's pretty neat and fun for kids, as well. I am not sure if witnesses do that or not. One year, there was a JW on TV, (he's an ice carver by trade) and kept trying be in the camera. He loved being on all 3 local TV networks. My family and I look for him every year! LOL!

QUESTION: Do You really LOVE this woman?

I mean do you REALLY "LOVE" this woman......

If you do, then go the distance. If she means the world to you,
If you love her enough to go through a living hell, do it.

Hopefully, the woman you're interested in,
is not a witness "born & raised", the way mine is. She's 49 now.

It's been a living hell for me...but I love her, I pray for her well-being and salvation; And I will not give-up.

Good luck to you my friend.

    Doug (TRC)

Bluemoon if she likes you and you like her, expect to be participating in a bible study and major changes in your life. I would not get involved with this women if I were you. While many JW women are fantastic, getting involved with her is getting involved with a cult.

If she hasn't stolen your heart already, then tell her you want nothing to do with being a JW, see where that goes.
