I would love to see justice for this poor young lady, but I am not a believer in an eye for an eye in a literal sense,it would achieve little I fear after the initial publicity has been forgotten.
Some way needs to be found to expose the mans thinking as wrong on a constant, daily, basis,in an effort to change the society that brings forth a monster like him.
Any ideas?

I believe that when you commit a violent crime upon another human being (murder, rape, assault), you're making the choice to forfeit your rights as a human being.
So sure, when i hear that this person's punishment is for his sight to be taken from him, a part of me cringes and feels that he should just serve out his original prison term, but if they do blind him, i won't be losing any sleep over it.

I feel for the woman, and she's certainly entitled to justice. I just don't buy that isn't about revenge. Seems a bit disingenuous to me.

I agree with you 100%
To times, my first husband tried to kill me, he hurt me bad. So I don't feel sorry for people like that. I believe what goes around, comes around.
They get it in the end and it bites them. My XHusband is getting his right now, I don't feel sorry for him.
