That's WTS math alright. But you have to throw in that "Events have proven it accurate."

That is how they came up with 1914. They are stuck with that date because they made their story around it, but that leads to 607 BC. If 607 is wrong, 1914 is also wrong. But, if they admit that 1914 is wrong, a lot of witlesses are going to leave in a short time. So, they are stuck with 1914.
Of course, they have to ban independent research and claim that all secular sources are wrong and that they corrected the problem. Which leads to: How can every leading scientist be wrong about 587 BC, when there is no money to be made by putting it at 587 or to lose if people realize it's 607?

This is silly... it's a well-known fact that 607 BCE has been indisputably proven by yet undiscovered evidence.
