I don't understand your sense of time, but here is an answer.
It is 70 sunny degrees down here.

I'm waiting to lay down some permanent roots, because I haven't yet found the right place.

Well, only 23 hours to go!
I'm waiting for my coffee to kick in.
Snowbird,
I am glad to see you are not waiting for the weather to change. I have been waiting for the snow to go.
Ataloa,
Your post brings to my mind this poem, as I remember it,
Flower in a crannied wall,
I pluck you out of crannies
I hold you here root and all
and all in all,
If I could understand it,
I would know what God and man is.
Sometimes we have to be rooted in unrootedness.

I just realized that if I was really waiting for 4:28 am, like we wait for midnight on New Years Eve, then 4:28 am always exists somewhere on earth at any moment.
Priest73,
If you heard a loud bang of an accident outside, you would stop waiting.
Do we have to wait? Is it necessary?

I'm waiting for 5PM eastern time so i can leave work. I'm not sure if i'm going out today. Might just go home and watch 'Red Belt', then Battlestar Galactica.
I'm rootless, too. The southwest looks might fine to me, though. Might move to Arizona and plant a cactus in my yard for something green. At least there is no winter there (Phoenix).
Waiting for the clocks to go forward - March 8th I believe - then we'll have MORE DAYLIGHT!
