This should worry them.
While it is an increase over Sept of last year,
it also shows an incredibly anemic response to
an event widely thought to be the beginning of the
Great Tribulation. It didn't even rise to the level
of a typical April level.

It'll be interesting to see the October figure. Because of late reports etc, it's best to look at a couple of months or more together to see a trend.

I agree with Ozziepost. It takes time for the impact of events to filter through. I expect meeting attendance at the end of September was well above recent norms as inactive ones, who still believe, came to the meetings just in case. The bros will will busy working on these to make the influx more permanent so expect a significant rise over the next couple of months, which will settle down again by the Summer.
Our meeting attendance for the school/service meeting of Sept 11 was 120%.
The following week, it was 100%, and the week after 75%. After about 6 weeks,
it was back down to its usual level of around 50-60%.
Yes, the terrorist attacks filled the halls for a few weeks, but it died off quickly
as everyone realized (faster than usual) that it was just another flash in the pan,
and that the JW's not only do not have the truth, but aren't even relevant.
