While reading the WILL of Russell (Watchtower 1916, December 1)one could notice that it wasn't respected in various points. But the one I would like to mention is, not to publish another journal then the Watchtower. It reads:
"As the Society is already pledged to me that it will publish no other periodicals, it shall also be required that the Editorial Committee shall write for or be connected with no other publications in any manner or degree."
I don't pretend to be familiar with Laws. But isn't it clear that by publishing the AWAKE!(GOLDEN AGE) the above mentioned was violated? Same point was mention by Timothy White in his excelent book: A PEOPLE FOR HIS NAME: A HISTORY OF JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES AND AN EVALUATION (P. 173)
Do you know if ever somebody took the WBTS to court on this point? If not, would it be possible to do so? Don't they say they don't publish the names of the NWT committee because that was their "request"? Where is their consistancy?
