Let's join the dots.
As reported here, it seems the compulsory service for all youths receiving school loans and others to serve at least three months as part of the 'brigade'. For those who would wish to avoid such service by stating that they do religious activities instead, the bill includes this paragraph;
Engaging in religious instruction, conducting worship services, providing instruction as part of a program that includes mandatory religious instruction or worship, constructing or operating facilities devoted to religious instruction or worship, maintaining facilities primarily or inherently devoted to religious instruction or worship, or engaging in any form of religious proselytization.
So, the Witnesses wouldn't be able to avoid participating in this 'brigade' by saying their a pioneer or Bethelite.
Couple this with the recent WT Study article which blurs the lines between door-to-door, traditional JW-ministry activity and helping other people out.
Is the WTS getting ready to put forward a softer front with regards to getting 'involved' in 'community-based' works as sponsored by the Government?
